Today we went to the mall

I got up at 12 and at 12 we leaved the house . In the bus station I met Lili Jade's friend Gladys .

First we had lunch in a Mexican restaurant.The food was so good!

At 2 p.m we arrived to the mall. We visited a lot of stores like Sephora , FNAC , Zara and store with movies merch.

After that we went to the cinema to watch "It ends with us" . Although the movie was in French I understood and enjoyed it.

Finally we bought sushi for dinner in the supermarket.I hadn't taste sushi and it was so good

The last weekend

        This was my last weekend in Brest. Saturday was a calm day. In the morning I was sleeping until almost lunchtime. In the afternoon, although it was raining, we went to visit a fishing village. Later we went for a walk on the beach. We finished the day going to a souvenir shop where I bought souvenirs for my family. On Sunday morning we left home early, at 9:30. We were visiting the region of Finisterre and its cliffs. Later we went to visit a museum of the Second World War. The museum was built imitating a bunker from the time of the Normandy landings. It showed how they organized themselves, what they did for entertainment... it was like traveling back in time. Also on the outskirts of the wall there were some intact cannons from the past era. We arrived home at 8 in the afternoon.  I had a great time .

Goodbye

               I   write this entry on Thursday, October 17, my last day in France. Today my classmates threw me a farewell party and everyone was very kind to me. This afternoon while I was packing my suitcase I was reflecting on this experience. Overall, this month has been an intense month but one that has helped me learn many things not only about the language and culture of France, but also about myself. If I could repeat the experience again, I would. And I recommend it to everyone

Cultural shocks

    Even though we are neighbors, the Spanish and the French have very different cultures. One of the different things I noticed is that they refer to the teacher as sir or madam. I have also noticed that during classes they barely interrupt the teacher while he is speaking. A custom that I found very funny when I experienced it for the first time is that even young people greet and say goodbye to each other with two kisses. In Spain only older people do that. They also don't have the party culture that we have. For example, their parties are usually in big houses, like in American movies. Another very difficult custom to get used to as a Spaniard is punctuality. In France, at most, they arrive 5 minutes late, the complete opposite of in Spain, where they never arrive at the established time. And the last thing I have noticed different is the way they are. All the people I have met have been very nice to me. , but compared to the Spanish, the French have a very closed characte...
